Maple Syrup Proclamation

February Declared Maple Syrup Month


On Feb. 6, 2026 the Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Jonathan Shell signed a proclamation for February to be named Kentucky Maple Syrup month. The ceremony was attended by the Duputy Agriculture Commissioner Warren Beeler. Doug Welch and his family at Blues End Farm hosted the event and gave a tour of their farm and provided fresh maple taffy on shaved ice for the event.
